I am seeking writings, published
or unpublished, by Marin County's 19th century District Attorney
and Judge Thomas H. Hanson that might show how he viewed some
defendants he represented as an attorney.
The basic facts about Thomas H.Hanson are:
- 1828: Born in Virginia. His full name was Thomas Hawkins
Hanson
- 1854: Began practicing law in Marin County, was one of
the first members of the Marin County Bar
- 1856 to 1861: Was the elected Treasurer of Marin County
- 1869 to 1871: Was the elected District Attorney of Marin
County
- Sometime after 1871: Was a Marin County Superior Court
Judge
- Was a member and Past Master of the Marin Masonic Lodge
No. 191
- 1883: Died. At the time of his death he was married and

If you might be able to help with any of his writings or letters,
or a picture of him, please contact
me.
